As the largest publisher of Welsh language books, Gomer Press engaged CR Design to design and build an eCommerce platform to expand their direct sales channel across the UK and internationally.

CR Design was responsible for planning, design and production at every stage delivering a sophisticated, bespoke content management system which provides Gomer with complete control over their on-line catalogue and promotions as well as a simple interface for order tracking during fulfillment with automated email notifications to customers.

Customers can browse in either English or Welsh and independently select a language preference for the books they see in the shop.

Additionally, unlike many bilingual sites, the user can set their language preference from any point in the site - rather than following a route of either English or Welsh from the home page - and their preference is automatically adhered to the next time they visit the site.
